Here's a quick run down of 10 tips to be a better Pokemon Go Trainer!
Catch lots of Weedles, Ratatas and Pidgeys and stock pile their candies. When you have about 100 of each, pop a Lucky Egg for 2x EXP and evolve them all to Tier 2 evolutions.
Play with friends; you'd be amazed the nests and secret spots you will find by socializing and asking questions to friends and fellow Trainers.
Ride a bike, bus or car. You can cover more ground, hit more gyms and Pokestops this way.
Don't leave your strongest Pokemon in gyms. This may seems counter productive but anyone can essentially take you out seeing as attackers can use 6 pokes versus your 1. Keep your strongest for taking more gyms and leave a 500-1000cp defender instead.
Save your Stardust for when you reach level 25 to 30. You'll need it for powering up at this point, and it's a waste when you're low level.
Take down gyms at night, it's less likely to be defended and you can claim 10 gyms easily for those 100 Pokecoins.
Save all your Pokecoins and buy the 500 coin 8x Lucky Egg pack. It's the most worth it, seeing as you can use others lures for free, incense is pretty meh, pokeballs are free and Lucky Eggs give you ludicrous amounts of EXP for evolving 70 pidgeys.
Play at triple lure spots, they give the most consistent farm.
Get an external battery pack or power bank, your play time will be 2 to 5 times longer. You can get some budget ones for 3$, medium range ones for 20$, and some very good ones for 60-100$.
You can choose the result of evolving an Eevee into Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon. You can only do this trick once each, so I recommend keeping this trick for when you are above level 18. Preferably, you'd want to be level 20-30.
Name your Eevee the following before evolution results in a guaranteed evolution of each type.
Rainer = Vaporeon
Sparky = Jolteon
Pyro = Flareon
This only works once each. So try to use this trick later on in your progression.
