The Extraordinay Raid Week event is now live on Pokémon GO. For me it started at 10 pm yesterday, when there are no new Raids appearing for the day anymore, so the event wasn't really active here until this morning. This event will last through May 28.
During the event we will get double Stardust and XP from Raids. Several new Raid Bosses will be added and some other Raid Bosses will make a comeback. Shiny Bronzor and Bronzong are added into the game with the start of this event, so they will now be available in the wild and through Raids as Bronzor will be one of the level 1 Raid Bosses.
The Raid Bosses during the event will be the following:
- Level 1 : Machop, Slakoth, Shinx, Bronzor
- Level 2 : Misdreavus, Kirlia, Mawile, Feebas, Clamperl, Bibarel
- Level 3 : Alolan Raichu, Chansey, Scyther, Aerodactyl, Floatzel
- Level 4 : Alolan Marowak, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Absol, Metagross
- Level 5 : Your local Lake Trio, either Mesprit, Azelf or Uxie
Bronzor, Clamperl, Bibarel and Floatzel are new additions to the Raid Bosses.
Today on May 22 the new monthly Raid Hour will take place featuring increased spawns of all Raids during that hour. Which will be from 6 through 7 pm local time. I have not been able to attend the previous monthly Raid Hour events, for this one I might be able to though. So I will check with the local community which Raids they are going to do once the eggs hatch.
Next weekend, still part of the Extraordinary Raid Week, we will get a Lapras Raid Day. Just like the Legendary birds and the Gengar Raid Days we will receive up to 5 free Raid Passes from Gyms during the event. Lapras Raids will appear on all Gyms for 3 hours. From 11 am to 2 pm local time on May 25 (For Asia-Pacific it's apparently on May 26). Shiny Lapras is already part of the game and we are likely to have a higher encounter chance for it from these Raids. These Lapras will definitely have a legacy move(set) just like the past specific Pokémon Raid Days. More about that later this week when the event comes closer.
