I've mentioned in a few previous blog posts that the Owen Rose Garden is one of my favorite parks to visit while I'm playing Pokemon Go. One of my goals has been to see a Roselia spawn there so that I could get an AR photo of a Roselia in the rose garden. This weekend is an event with increased Roselia spawns so I was finally able to capture a few. The gazebo is a gym, so I felt like it was important to take control and put one of my Roselia in to defend it:
And since this was the first time I had seen any Roselia in this park I thought it was quite apropos that one spawned right by these “Opening Night” roses:
And since AR photos aren't the highest resolution, here's a regular iPhone photo of the roses:
And just some general shots of the park:
It's supposed to be possible to find a shiny version of Roselia now, but I haven't seen any yet. I seem to have bad luck with shiny hunting, but I'm still hopeful I'll find one.
Nice job catching thematic Pokemon. I might have to Pokemon Go again. You may be triggering my itch to play again...

Oh that's a nice place to catch Roselia! I love it! It's a shame you didn't get a shiny there, but I'm glad to have read your addendum about finding shinies!

Addendum: I didn't find any shinies yesterday, but this morning I found three on the walking/bike path near the river:

I liked your roses. I also grow roses. I'm also a good farmer.
