Denver July 3, 2014: It was less than an hour before the zoo closes for the day. I gave it a try. The light was soft and the best part was lack of people around the enclosure at that time.
The temperature was in mid nineties (Fahrenheit)–a good reason for the bear to take deep dive into the lake.
I was watching polar bear getting in an out of water for about ten minutes when it went inside its enclosure and grabbed its meal.
With the food hanging from its mouth, It came right into the water and took a dive again. The shot was taken moments before the dive.
