I would dare to say that the murder of Tony Timpa at the hands of police is the most egregious act of police misconduct of which I'm aware in my life time.
It's not just because Timpa was begging for the police to let him breath and telling them that they were killing him only to be met with jokes and laughter; George Floyd was murdered in a shockingly similar way.
It's not just that Timpa called the police on himself because he realized that he was having a psychotic episode and he was off his meds.
It's not just that he was already restrained by a security guard by the time the police arrived.
It's not just that none of the cops who murdered him saw the inside of a prison cell.
It's not just that none of the cops involved were ever charged.
It's not that none of the cops ever faced a civil suit.
It's not even that none of the cops ever even got fired.
It's that nobody seems to give a shit.
George Floyd's murderers are all facing charges, as they should. We never saw real justice for Kelly Thomas; but, at least to officers went to trial over his death.
