Google knows what you did last summer.

The cops have been sending subpoenas to Google for records of where Android users have been, according to a detailed report yesterday on The Verge. With Google’s help, police corroborated suspicions of serial bank and retail store robbers after establishing a suspect. The police asked for all the tech giant’s information about where certain Android went on the days in question. And Google had to turn it over, because it knows.

The government has an easy time getting any data people share with third parties, a point a federal court in Virginia just reaffirmed.

If you think turning if off in settings somehow keeps google from providing your complete location data when served with a warrant, I have a bridge to sell you in New Jersey...

I don't even have much to hide but i was about to check myself and seems that i did t gave to them the right for the timeline, which feels great :3.

Edit: Seems that even if i dont have timeline they did keep record of some places, prolly way more than i believed, this makes me guess they have more deep somewhere, maybe its linked to whenever "position" is activated, also the arses have the records of any trip i made using it.
