One night I was woken up by my kitty Tobias whom I rescued from a shelter. He is a big black 23.8 oz cat. His enormous growth is due to the fact that he was fixed at age 4 and that is more healthy than fixing cats too early.
Tobias was growling and hissing and went to my bedroom window angry and in attack mode. I listened as it was windy out and heard someone with heavy boots on my 4th storey balcony walking around and tapping on my window. I was frightened and went into the living room to wake my sister up to tell her we had an intruder on the balcony. She did not hear as she had music playing in the background. Sis grabbed the phone and called 9-1-1, who in turn wanted to know who alerted us to the noise. Sis told 9-1-1 that it was our rescue kitty growling like a dog. Needless to say, whomever it was, made it down fast and the police never did catch him but I feel safe knowing that I have a great guard cat, alert to all noises around me.
