Afghan government plans to recognize Taliban militant as a political party Afghan President Ashraf Ghani urged the Taliban to return to the main stream. Ghani said at the second Kabul Process Conference, "Taliban will be recognized as a political party when peace in the country is accepted and agreement with the ceasefire agreement."
The Ghanaian government is trying to help the Taliban not only as a political party but also in different ways. Several militants have already been released. Nazrbondhi has been lifted over many Taliban leaders. Ghani Sarkar is allowing Taliban members of the militant and their families to pass passports and visas. Even the Taliban army is getting permission to open the office.
The administration sees the positive side in such a move on the Taliban. Afghanistan's foreign minister Salahuddin Rabbani said, hopefully peace will return to Afghanistan. And it will also benefit the whole world.
