Is your Vote worth it?

As an executive in a ward, i have witnessed many aspirants come in to tell us how they are the best candidates for the office and promise things they will never do. I asked one of the aspirants if he can sign an undated resignation letter and when he fails within a given time, we put a date on it and remove him from office.

After the meeting, he came to me and we shook hands. He also said he will like me to be part of his strategic team to provide the blueprint for his campaign. I laughed over it and allowed him understand my stand as a voter.

As he walked out of the hall, some people followed him to his car and were demanding his contact number and funds. As we prepare and launch towards the party primaries, more and more aspirants will be coming and presenting their "honey-coated"speeches and expect the electorates to vote them in especially when they give them some few amounts.

Is your vote important enough to ignite a change or just meant to be exchanged for a few cash? Sooner or later, what you do today will produce result.
