Okay all you evil cultural appropriaters, you have to stop eating corn, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and a host of other Native American foods. I was about to sit down to my culturally diverse dinner of fried chicken, sauerkraut, quinoa and steamed vegetables, when I listened to an Alex Jones video that brought my attention to the evils of cultural appropriation.
Being a card carrying member of a federally recognized Indian tribe, I am, of course, consumed with the desire to virtue signal and be politically correct. So when I saw that the politically correct literati are focused on shaming people for cultural appropriation of food, I just had to weigh in because such a huge part of the mainstream diet consists of foods that were developed and cultivated by Indigenous Americans, and have been appropriated by and are consumed in gluttonous quantities. These include corn, potatoes, tomatoes, several beans and different squashes, chili, quinoa, tacos and more.
At one point about 100 years ago, according to a University of Washington research paper, produce that was originally developed and cultivated by the first Americans, from Alaska to Chile, accounted for about 70% of the food crops cultivated around the world. If we are serious about remedying the evils of cultural appropriation, then everybody needs to stop eating foods that were appropriated from America's indigenous peoples. No more corn, tomatoes and potatoes, indigenous beans and squashes, quinoa and other native foods for you!
Or the Politically Correct complainers who are wailing at us can just shut up, because everybody knows they're all a big bunch of hypocrites.
