The climb up the Globalism tree might be stalling.

In the case of Hillary vs Donald - this is something new, not seen in a while.. Not that I'm a fan of 'The Donald', but he represents a break from Globalism to Nationalism. Hillary is the same ole, Obama, Bush, etc.

If Donald was to win, there would be millions (mostly left) who would be so enraged that many would form grass roots movements to increase power locally, thus weakening it Nationally.

In other words, it might be beneficial for 'Bernie' fans to support Donald (only by vote), only because it fuels the local fire. Where as, a vote for Hillary, is a vote for globalism and a division of the break away left.

The ways to unwind globalism back to a healthy environment where people work together voluntarily to support each other and the environment are infinite.

Nationalism does not automatically create a healthy environment where people work together to protect the environment. On the contrary, why should one nation care about a global problem. Especially the US have many benefits to just continue their way of living and destroy the planet. An egocentric American government lead by Trump could lead to growing rage against American arrogance in the world and lead to many more conflicts.

On the other hand, I am very curious what would happen if Trump became president. Would half of the US build on a backup plan and create a separate society? Would the other countries in the world work together more harmoniously and ignore the US in international politics? Or would Trump notice that being the President is a whole different thing than campaigning and stop proposing preposterous ideas (and not start building the wall).

There is really nothing you said that I don't agree with.. I do think the US will be a better place with Donald, and not because I think he would make a good President.. I just see it as a trend to unwind an elitist new world order, and not because Trump has any redeeming qualities as a leader. Plus, I'd love to see 100 million on the left start grass roots movements, which I don't think will happen with Hillary as Pres..
