As we can see, there are no perfect people.
My comments: A lot of people seem to look for or want leadership. Then when the leaders aren't perfect they get thrown out for violating social norms, moral crimes, etc. Then if you look at history you find that leaders have always been flawed but society had to look beyond their flaws in favor of their strengths.
My theory: Any leadership will be morally flawed in some way. In fact, the model of centralized leadership is a problem because any human in a position of leadership has flaws, flaws which can be discovered, encouraged, exacerbated over time, which makes all leaders susceptible to blackmail and manipulation if they are human and in a position of power for too long. Decentralization is a way of trying to resolve the problem of flawed leadership by spreading authority to the crowd or by obfuscating the leadership so there is no single point of attack. With the idea that all humans are flawed so reliability of any particular human is limited, but as a whole humans are more reliable than any individual.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely!

We don't have to look into the past for examples of how we choose flawed leaders. The current US presidential election is a glaring example. It's hard to imagine that two more flawed individuals could be found than Donald and Hillary. Good thing Jefferey Dahmer is dead or no doubt he'd be the VP candidate for one of these clowns.

I agree, but the really good thing is that the us system is pretty much useless. Whatever Mr. Trump will decide, the hillary's will just say: Meh, we not like. So it wont happen much at all due to the veto of the democrats.

Rule by force is the problem.
Until the folks reject that we get pushed around by their proxies.

Leadership is like friendship, it's good when it is never forced to anyone. Problems come when we have to deal with leaders we don't want or when the leader has to lead too many people. It is quite 'unnatural' to have one person (a president, a king, a dictator...) leading and representing millions of people.

Power corrupts, and the definition of leadership has not evolved as quickly as it should. We are still stuck in traditional definitions of leadership that were helpful in the forest back in the day when we were hunters and hunted. For example, facilitation and stewardship are incredibly powerful leadership traits that are still undervalued.

When we speak about leaders we should also ensure we cover a diverse representation of our world. J.
