How I left the UK to live in Thailand for FREE. Escaping the matrix of lies.

I was working at Land Rover in parts quality as the engineer.

My job was to keep all the tracks running when a part was wrong, or did not conform to standards. I was working permanent nights, there was at one time over 40 people doing the same job. When I left there were 2 of us.

It was horrible some days, I would be in bed asleep and someone would phone me on my works mobile phone, that I was not allowed to switch off (early indestructible Nokia 3310), and they would ask me about problems they were having in the day time. I never phoned them in the middle of the night, yet it was okay the other way round hmmmmmm. I even took calls while in the shower, from the gate keeper, about suppliers arriving. 2 hours before my shift started. ENOUGH is enough I cried in my head.

The job did pay well, but and a big but, it took over my life 24/7 and 6 days a week. No money on earth was worth that.

I had taken a 16 day holiday to Pattaya Thailand the year before, and fell in love with the innocence of the place. Even getting stopped for no driving licence got me a $8 bribe (or 300 Baht) and on my merry way, I loved it.

The year was 2003 and the world was looking messy with 9/11 and all. I wanted to cop out for a few years from tv and bs false flags.

I had found this new fangled site called eBay and I loved it, my plan was set in motion, resign at 6.56 am by email. Take a digital camera to Thailand, knowing I could buy t-shirts for a $1 and football shirts for $3 and sell them on the internet, for much more. Emirates flight booked? check, camera? check. Boom gone, the same day. it was a Friday.

I landed some time late night in Bangkok (Saturday due to a stop over in Dubai), and took a cab from the airport to Pattaya, 2 hours and 30 mins or more, for $25 or 1000 baht. I arrived at my hotel, which was $100 for a month, Jomtien long stay hotel it is a lot more expensive now They even let me fit a line in for the internet in my room, as I paid for 3 months up front and I bought a second hand pc to go online.

It was simple to do, I became the biggest shop on eBay at the time, based in Thailand. I went round every stall, every shop and every market and asked them if I came back tomorrow for something, that I take a photo of now, would you be able to get it back in stock, within 1 day if you have sold out? if the answer was YES MR, then I took a photo of it, including paintings (oil and others) clothes and electricals like valve amplifiers from China, $110 each that sold at $700 each for me. Boom I was living like a King. I had the largest shop on eBay without having to own the goods in advance, mr Amazon was I .

Where there is a will, there is a way. Never be scared to get away from the tax dodging government that takes you and I for granted, as willing slaves.

xmas day 2008 I was still there here I no longer use youtube, I find the site restrictions less than admirable.

Peace love and respect. Hope you are having a lovely day.

What a great idea! @deliberator you are an innovator which you already know I am sure! Most people would have never thought to take a picture of something that they didn't actually own. Well done!

It is was and still is my life, we all have the same ability, to cop out any time we choose, stay awesome my friend.

That is so true! My dream is to just get in and go....where? To wherever! No destination just the FREEDOM....I know it's close too! Thanks @deliberator

Thank you my friend. and @abh12345

what an amazing life change!! I dream to disappear like this one day :-D

You can good lady, any time you want, you just have to believe in YOU.

Yes! Although my husband has felonies LOL kind of limits our travel options! I wonder does Thialand have restrictions on that? I know quite a few countries do lol I'm not sure with all the flight rules nowadays if he can even fly.. it might just be if you have active parole. I need to look into this lol

Thailand requires only a visa, that you pay for, a multi entry 1 is best for 3 months, you can extend it every month for another week, so you get 3 months and 3 weeks. Nope they care not about anyone's past life at home.

Yay! I'm going to look for into this! :-D

Did you get the feeling of "why hadn't I done this sooner"?

I had a few other times in life done the same thing before. I had been listening to the "you need a good job and good pension" way toooo much whilst throwing my life down the drain at Land Rover.

Those days are over.
