Why Hong Kong People Only Claim Themselves As 'Hongkonger'?

Cultural identity is key. I live in HK for more than 10 years and I ve always been surprised how the question of identity is blurry for most of the local I know. I often find people give up too easily their cultural identity. Language, culture, history food... everything that makes HK what it is, people should value and protect it more.
