Our technology is creating a new class of useless humans.

As with all things in the manifested world, it's relative to each person's perspective. My view is that that each human being has a unique talent or gift to share with the world which in turn shows that statement to be completely false.

Another perspective based on economics/GDP/other such nonsense (Hahaha, my opinion) would agree and say that you are correct that there will be more and more people who are unable to make a contribution and will therefore be useless (to the system).
