An Open Letter to President Trump: The Press and The First Amendment

I've written a number of articles on how we don't really have true journalism these days. So much bias that what we really have is Op Eds, Editorials, Opinion pieces being masqueraded as unassailable truth.

I've written quite a few of them.

Goal of true journalism is to present the information in a way that is consumeable by your audience that is not biased, and let's them make their own decision.

You can be biased, but that is known as an opinion piece, not fact.

Which is what 99.9% of so-called "journalism" is today.

Agreed entirely. Too much of what is called "Journalism" is more of a deliberate skewing (or omission) of facts to suit a particular narrative. That can be based on either the "news" corporation, or the person presenting the material.

That day is almost over as the TV and Radio represented one way Media. The host or network broadcast the opinion with little to no feedback. The age of the internet is two way media. If what you present is malarkey, then you'll be blown out of the water. Most TV pundits wouldn't last long here without a "block" button.
