Excellent post! No matter how much protesting or rioting goes on, very little will change. Fundamental changes are needed to policing as you highlighted and only then will we start to see change.

Putting these issues down simply as a result of racism massively simplifies the issue and actually makes it less likely for the change that is needed to come about.
