Alice Weidel, frontrunner of the German political party AfD, failed an unsuccessful request to the court to ban the use of the term "nazi-slut" in regards to her.

As the presenter of a German satirical program Christian Ehring had used the phrase to describe her, whereupon she sued for an injunction.

It's a tough word but the regional court of Hamburg decided to decline the request for an injunction against the satirical program "extra3" regarding the conflict surrounding the term "nazi-slut".

A court spokesperson stated that it was clear it was meant to be satire, which is protected by the freedom of opinion.

Additionally, being the frontrunner of the AfD and thus focused upon by the public, she should be able to accept the exaggerated criticism.

The press court also observed that the controversial expression satirically referred to her claim for political correctness which, according to her, needs to put into the dustbin of history.

The official press court statement:

"The term Nazi was used to the showcase the widespread perception of her political party as being right, if not far-right".
"The word slut does have sexual connotations, but it was clear to the audience that the term was only used because she is a woman an that is not truthful".

The term was used as a response to her claim that political correctness needs to be in the dustbin of history.
