Lets first define Capitalism and the others. If we have a better understanding of different political ideas, we can make better choices. I’ve been reading that some people think we already have a Socialist type Government. Nothing could be further from the truth.  So, lets break it down.

Under a Capitalist Government the Government is there to create laws and regulations that makes it easier for us to survive. By this I mean, laws and regulations that help us grow as we see fit. We have the choice to be better or not.

As far as some have said that we already have a Socialist type government, you couldn’t be more further from the truth. The infrastructure you speak of is not built by the government, it is built by private companies that the government pays. The roads are maintained by the government because of commerce and the government collects taxes to maintain them.

Investors invest in certain goods that the public at large wants to buy. Such as a new house in a subdivision. The government does not build subdivision unless its for low income housing and those are usually apartment buildings.

When the subdivision is complete the streets are dedicated to the local municipality and incorporated into their infrastructure. The only hand that the government has in a new subdivision is the standards that they have implemented.

Capitalism give us more to choose from not less. We can make our own choices. Wages are based on experience and education. As far as equal pay for certain groups, you have a choice to go to a company that will pay you more.

Definition of capitalism:

: an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market.

I will lump Socialism and Communism together because they are close to the same ideology. If you have property you lose it. Your choices are limited to what the collective says. All goods are controlled by the collective, there for, you have no choice but to except the outcome.

You can’t own your own business or property because all business and property are owned by the government.

So, lets face the facts. There is no such thing as income equality or inequality, that’s a fairy tell story. Even in this system you are paid the minimum, so the collective can survive.

Definition of Socialism:

1. Any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

2. a: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property

b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

3. A stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

Definition of Communism:

1. a: a system in which goods are owned in common and are available to all as needed

b: a theory advocating elimination of private property

2. Capitalized

a) a: a doctrine based on revolutionary Marxian socialism and Marxism-Leninism that was the official ideology of the U.S.S.R.

b) b: a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production

c) c: a final stage of society in Marxist theory in which the state has withered away and economic goods are distributed equitably

d) d: communist systems collectively

Capitalism evens the playing field and has pulled more people out of poverty than any other ism. Not only that it promotes innovation. Socialism leads to communism where everyone is equally poor and the few elites steal their work. I will put 1 caveat to my statement. Crony capitalism is very bad when the government and corporations are in bed with each other and goes against what true free market capitalism is all about. Don't buy the drivel the media and leftist politicians try to sell you.

The only rich in a Socialist or Communist country are the hard line politicians. Some need to face the facts that when it comes to the poor no system of government can change that. But Capitalism can help more than the others.

Exactly my friend, exactly.
