If you invested in bitcoin all those years ago you made the right move. When it burst onto the scene in 2009 it took just over 1300 bitcoin to equal $1 USD. Are you aware that the value of one bitcoin is bouncing around $5000 USD? This is the radical power of decentralized currency. Money unhindered by influence of government or financial institutions.
Year passed and more of these crypto currencies cropped up. Do you remember DAO? You may never have even heard of the company. It was a short lived crypto that had the bottom fall out in a way that was hard to fathom.
April 2016 sent waves throughout the cryptocurrency community. The Decentralized Autonomous Organization — crypto-anarchists and Bitcoinists dreamed about it for years, and Ethereum finally made it reality.
People were so excited about it that they purchased DAO tokens by the truckload. The DAO token sale quickly made this project the largest crowdfund in history, bringing in over $168 million USD.

For the lack of people who have even heard of DAO tokens I was impressed at what they were able to achieve. Unfortunately, there is always an inherent risk when you are investing in a cryptocurrency.
On June 18, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the DAO smart contract, resulting in a loss exceeding $50 million USD. Once news of the attack circulated, traders dumped the DAO token, sending its price spiraling downwards.

Things like Steemet and other Cryptocurrencies have created tiny disruptions. These currencies affect the way we think about money and for many of us they also make us wonder. We wonder about diversifying into these currencies and taking the risk. Of course, for most there is just too much risk and not enough understanding.
You may think that the analogy of the title a bit farfetched, but I want you to consider the use of cryptography, which is a necessary part of transactions, in these cryptocurrencies.
Cryptography or cryptology is the practice and study of techniques for secure communication in the presence of third parties called adversaries.
Have we not seen third party adversaries being boxed out of communications? What is happening at universities and even private speaking functions being infiltrated by groups like Black Lives Matter.
The protesters quickly formed a line obscuring the stage and began to shout, “A-C-L-U, you’d protect Hitler too!”
Later, the protesters shouted “shame!” as they held signs obscuring their faces, including a large banner that read, “blood on your hands.”
After twenty minutes of chanting everything from “the revolution will not uphold the Constitution” to “liberalism is white supremacy,” one of the event’s student hosts gave the protesters a microphone, which the protesters’ spokeswoman used to condemn the ACLU’s support for the constitutional rights of white supremacists at the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The “adversary” voices, sometimes just as radical as those doing the silencing, have been bullied out of the conversation regarding social transactions like acceptance or understanding. Instead, we are quickly relegating people into easier to organize groups and stamping them with names like NAZI.
There are little engines of hate in the world and they are revving up. They are wearing peace signs and telling their soldiers to hurt for peace. One of these thugs arrested at an Antifa rally had a T knife or dagger on them. This wasn't a family heirloom. This was a weapon that had one purpose.
The assault on free speech, white people and anyone who dares question their will, is indicative of radical tyrants of the past. The Alternative Left has fashioned a beautiful flag for their new America. Its sewn with the golden stitches of equal opportunity, love, respect for “all”, income equality, immigrant rights, women's rights, minority rights and behind this beautiful flag is a wall of cold steel, mace, and aggression.
This flag is backed by the valuable cryptocurrency of the alt left. It has power and has backing. It has long been the currency of the now shattering Hollywood. Some might say that academia is the very printing press of this currency. It has even traveled into the veins of our political structure. Elected representatives poised to stand for the American people are crying out racist accusations like white privilege.
These radicals scream until they are blue in the face but cannot help but look around and see that the world still goes on. The game is still being played and money is changing hands. People are working to feed themselves and invest in companies they believe in.
In their blue faced rage these Antifa hopefuls with their privilege optics and appropriation radar have decided to create their own “Virtuous” cryptocurrency. Now, it's a complicated system to us Neanderthal capitalists and it took a while for me to understand it. The currency seems to be valued using the following criteria:
• Damages of the Past
• Failures of Today
• Recognition of Offense
• Propensity for Violence
• Skin Color
• Gender
• General Audibility
The more of these criteria you can claim association with the more valuable your currency. This currency is used to create opportunity and bring to light injustice that we all agree should be recognized. The cryptocurrency of the Alt Left is also used to marginalize others and justify violence against those who oppose them, and this is the problem.
The Socialist Ponzi Scheme
The resounding hatred for capitalism seems to cling tight to those who either haven't figured out how to win in the rules or those who have dominated the playing field completely. Is it fair to assume that a socialist on the grind, working hard and looking to make the next big thing is an anomaly? Capitalism does bigger, better, faster and has it down to a science. This is not a crime, yet. Still, the socialist seems to be the person who has spent their ambition or replaced it with an envious wrath of the person with the charming home and the beautiful, happy family.
In the end I must say that their strategy has won the day. Their currency has allowed them to act as they please. They have utilized their cryptocurrency to quiet opposition voices, change policy and create a world that seems to be wholly unsure of how to communicate and how to conduct business without offense.
In these vast moments of confusion, we look to the experts for advice. This gives the alternative left the power to control the narrative. They are the only experts on zir. In that sense, they have won the day.
THE MARKET CRASH
When you gamble on a high stakes cryptocurrency you must always be ready for the castle to crumble. We are seeing this already. Rather than take the 30-minute training course about how to address someone or live with the stress of saying the wrong gender pronoun or ethnic distinction, there are lots of people who are just saying “I’m Out.”
They are selling their stocks of Alt Left currency and putting the money in other markets. They are buying up market share in ideas like free speech. It’s overwhelming and people would rather pay the penance for being kind to all and speaking respectfully than be forced to relearn how to communicate through grievance and virtue.
As the value of Alternative Lefts cryptocurrency continues to skyrocket so too does the possibility of a market crash. Let me be completely clear, a lot of these stitches in their flag are not bad ideas. However, when they are enforced without mercy or consideration for the outsider it will force people to turn away from these important ideas.
The hope is that it all shakes out and social issues, that truly need our time, will be resolved.
Not like the recent proclamation of the University of Illinois professor Rochelle Gutierrez who claims that:
“Math itself operates as whiteness.”
It is only people who determine a cryptocurrencies value. The Alt Left Coin is no different. Like Bitcoin or Steemet, if enough people are invested it then it's going to have value. Its radical talk like this that is making people jump ship.
If you decide to take back that value by living a communal life that involves neighborhood interaction and community, well, it will be your actions that take on the value. The words will merely be faded ink on wet signs in the garbage pile of American history.
It's time to act. It's time to meet people and show the world that true power doesn’t come from a protest or an online community. True power comes from an understanding that every person is unique. Young black men are no more criminals than young white men are NAZIs or Colonizers. We are all a set of unique circumstances that must be accounted for.
My march is one towards unity but along the way I must be aware of threats. The same goes for you. Our daily goals should be finding common ground with those around us. We must pull away from devoting our day to the daily grievance. If that is your currency you can add real value to the American people.
