British Malcolm Conlan 'THANKS' Stephen Sackur for unmasking Senator Trillanes, an open letter to BBCsteemCreated with Sketch.

Dear Sir/Madam:
I am writing to you to personally congratulate Stephen Sackur on the excellent episode of Hard Talk this week, where the special guest was Philippine Senator Antonio Trillanes.
It was very clear from the start of the interview that Stephen had gone to a great deal of effort to understand the real issues many Filipinos are greatly concerned over, especially the relentless campaign by Senator Trillanes to pursue in my personal view, a false, misguided and erroneous legal campaign against President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and his War On Drugs at the ICC.
I am particularly grateful to Stephen for his understanding of the popularity of the President and his team.
It is very clear that Stephen although being unbiased in his show, was able to challenge senator Trillianes over his constant negative criticism of President Duterte. Stephen has yet again demonstrated as he did in his previous episode from the Philippines, that he understands the real issues faced by Filipinos back home.
I can say without doubt that many Filipinos back home in the Philippines and indeed overseas filipino workers (OFW's) including some of my own family are very appreciative of the work by the BBC and Stephen Sackur in showcasing the Philippines in a more positive light, particularly at a time when some of the worlds media seek to potray President Rodrigo Duterte in a negative light over his War on Drugs, Crime and Corruption, all of which are in keeping with his desire to improve life in the Philippines for the Filipino people.
Once again, please pass on my grateful thanks to Stephen from my family and I am sure at least 16 million Filipinos worldwide.
Best regards
Malcolm Conlan

This is a copied & paste open letter to BBC that's being circulated in Facebook after BBC Hardtalk's interview with Senator Trillanes few days ago. I posted this interview in my previous posts if you guys want to look at it. As you know, majority of Filipinos, locally and overseas communicate with each other in Facebook. A large number of that are President Duterte's supporters. Benson Bautista is one. His account have been deactivated once, and he might be again. I am hoping that he will come here, together with his followers.

It's not a secret that I want them to come over in Steemit, and one or 2 have. I can also feel their frustration of not having any followers here as yet. But if Facebook keep doing this deactivation of accounts just because the Philippines' Facebook manager supports the Opposition, BY ALL MEANS.

Sometimes, the pasture is greener on the other side, THIS STEEMIT SIDE.

Thats sad when open community like FB take sides. Poor act from politics.

Censorship in Facebook plus being biased in who the management supports. they can all activate them and they come over lolsss

i hope there are more interviews not from the media of the Philippines to seek for the truth..

Hopefully. The Liberal Party in the Philippines are not without supporters outside the Philippines.

They have a lot.. Most are famous, i guess..

those with hidden agendas are lurking behind the shadows.

fight the fight....that's what I like to see :-)

But you know, I was embarrassed for him and laughing with glee..now we have something to show the world on what the opposition are really like. Shooting himself in the mouth was what he did, willingly.

shining a light on these cockroaches is the work of God....so you are in great company my friend... :-)

thank you. we have to fight these cockroaches. we want them to come out all of them to clean the country.

i give you credit for standing up to them... :-) I sometimes see on here that people maybe aren't aware of a global agenda and they mad when you talk about it -- like it's interrupting their money count or something. Divergent views are good...it's just that people with high scores or money must feel that ALL they say is the only view.....rant off.

But sometimes we believe what we read on papers, esp from prestigious publications. New York Times for example, it's not even in the Philippines yet it's publishing any stuff paid for by the opposition to discredit President Duterte. The gullible just follow anything. You tell them the truth and they insist what they have read. You tell them your experiences and they won't listen as it was not what they have read or been told.

yep....this is all part of the "information war"...it's waged daily. Only now, it's more transparent.

Well..i hope other countries will become vocal about this thing and oppose what they seem is wrong.
