Venezuela, the political struggle continues

Unfortunately the situation continues.

There is no truce in the streets of Venezuela, since more than 2 months people have tired of the serious situation that we live all Venezuelans and have made the decision to protest in the streets to demand justice.

At first I had my doubts whether people would stand on the street, or if it was only a matter of days before the pressure would go away.

This image is one of the marches of yesterday that fortunately confirms that the decision of the Venezuelan people stands firm.

The government's response does not seem to change, repress marches and use the militia to try to get people to surrender and stop demanding their rights.

In all this time of protests, more than 45 people have died, a considerable number for a country that is in a deep crisis and which according to its president is a democratic country and lives in peace.

It is clear that the intention of the Venezuelan government is to censor everything that happens in the country in order not to give a bad international image, fear of a possible intervention or that they lose the support of neighboring countries, nevertheless they failed in their lie because the countries of Latin America have already expressed that they are against the situation that is lived in Venezuelan lands.

One of President Nicolás Maduro's threats has been to punish the newspapers and television channels that broadcast the protests, the president claims that the media incites violence and only wants to damage his image.

Censoring and eliminating freedom of expression is undoubtedly one of the most desperate acts of the government, the fear that the whole world will learn that its terrible management has caused a total destruction of the country, the crisis is not only social, economic Inflation has increased more than 200% so far this year in unofficial figures. The shortage of medicines and basic products such as rice, soap, shampoo and food in general is one of the main reasons why the people are demanding the departure of the president.

In addition to the violent response by the police and military authorities before the marches, the government is totally dictatorial because it not only gives no answers to the people but also wants to censor everything that happens within the country justifies its violence and its Actions saying that the people who participate in the marches only want to damage his image and to attack against the president.

For those of us who live here it is a very difficult situation, not only do we have a very high economic crisis where getting food becomes quite difficult, in my personal case there are times that we eat 2 or even once a day because we are not getting the food , I have friends who even eat once every 2 days because they have a worse situation.

In addition to that we live in fear that the police and the military can attack us at any time, with the excuse that they are only safeguarding the order of the people, as time passes things are becoming more difficult, people in Streets struggling against military and police forces, children starving for food from the garbage while police beat and assaulted people.

The country is in a truly complicated situation, however, even after 2 months, people are still determined to continue fighting for a better country and to achieve the change we need to live free and without fear.

Thanks to all the people of my country who are struggling in the streets every day, risking their lives and striving to get out of the dictatorship and achieve the freedom we want, we will soon be able to live without fear and live free in a better Venezuela.

And to think, just a few years ago people were vacationing over there! Americans should take heed and realize that this can happen ANYWHERE.

Authoritarianism is a blight on the world.

Until we have perfect leaders, no leader should have perfect power.

Gracias por difundir esto, hay que hacerle ver a mundo lo que estamos sufriendo aqui.. Exito!

I would think that the situation in Venezuela is complex but seems to have come out of a poor economic view on the part of the government. No country or community for that matter can thrive in the long term on borrowed monies. I understand that Venezuela is one of the countries with the highest oil reserves but this has not benefited the general public. I believe that a countries resources are all belong to the people of that country and the profits from them should be shared by all in some proportion. Of course this requires a government that is for the people and not for a preferred few elites. Democracies in general only benefit the general public for relatively few decades. After a while a small group figures out how to use the so-called democratic process to benefit the small group at the detriment of the general public. In some cases the small group can use their power to please or promote fear in enough of the general public to remain in power. In such cases a revolution may be the only way to change the situation for the benefit of all. Wisdom and much prayer is called for on those who would dare to begin a revolution. My prayer for Venezuelans is that God would raise up a man of God full of wisdom and the Holy Spirit to rally the people towards a better future.

So very sad, I hope something can be done to end all this pain soon in what I bet is a very beautiful country normally.
