Former child bride exposes the danger of criminalizing 'Islamophobia'

Very powerful explanation by a Muslim woman who was beaten, lashed and lived in fear of death as a child of her fear of Motion# M103 which would criminalize criticizing Islam.

M103 is dangerous because Islam, particularly as a basis for law in a liberal society is false and contains a lot of bad ideas like marrying children. Everyone with common sense should know this threatens the very values our societies are based upon and all the progress we've built BUT, the second you say this out loud you are vilified as "Islamophobic". Now in Canada possibly arrested.

I don't think that anyone with an even rudimentary understanding of human rights in the 21st century would ever be OK with the principals of enslavement and abuse that are embedded in Islam.

No politician has the balls to say anything negative about sharia for fear of being branded an intolerant Islamophobe. This is the world we live in. It's sickening.

M103 fosters the cultivation of a mindset conducive to sanctioning such consequences by conflating criticism of an ideology with racism. These aren't irrational fears, these are people, refugees even who have read the Koran and in some cases lived under Sharia speaking up against those that practice it and would like to bring it's perverse laws into our communities.
