You are trying to justify a double standard by pretending that Syrians aren't rebelling against their own government. It's not necessary. If you believe your side is just, then all you have to speak is the truth.

Vesti: Do They Want Russia in Syria or Not?
I'm against revolutions, a minority of Syrians have no rights over majority, look at Ukraine, a minority went to the streets and look where it led them. More ppl in Europe rebel against their own government, I live in Baltics, ethnic Russians don't have a right to vote here, they are non-citizens,20% of Latvians don't have any rights, by your thinking they have every right to rebel and overthrow the government. And who said that that minority of Syrians can't go to fair elections with Assad when war is over? Russia welcomed them into debates, all west does is speak about killing Assad, talk about democracy. I'm abiding to international law, all can go to elections as soon as the country is secure, it's you who want to kill off Assad and let some teenage terrorists without a Syrian passport run for elections while bombs are flying, then you will get another Lybia. And talk about rebels, In democratic countries they have no rights to elections,Catalans, eastern Ukrainians didn't have why Syrian rebels should?. If Syrians joined ISIS or some other terrorist organization like White Helmets then they lost their rights.
