Politicians do not support the issues they claim to support enough to actually do anything about them.

They love making political hay out of controversy and they will do what they need to do to make every issue last forever that they can. Promises are cheap especially if they're vague, but they're too busy holding on to their seats and engaging in quid pro quo with their donors to actually do the things that they say they will.

They will only ever do these things if you force them to. This is true of trump also. No matter who wins in the fall, we will have a disaster unless you stop putting your faith in these self-serving sociopaths and hold their feet to the fire.
