I officially nominate Trey Gowdy for President of the United States in the upcoming 2020 election. Why nominate Trey Gowdy? HE MAY BE THE MOST HONEST POLITICIAN ON THE PLANET!
First, let me say that (like most people) I am sick of hearing about Presidential elections. What we just went through to elect a president is a mockery and a sham. In my mind, it was a selection of the lesser of the 2 evils. Nothing more.
That is why I am submitting my nomination early.
We need a President (Trey Gowdy) that will clean up the massive corruption in our government.
There are hundreds of reasons to nominate the U.S. Representative from the Fourth District of South Carolina - Trey Gowdy. I will be sharing other reasons in upcoming posts.
This is just one reason to nominate Trey Gowdy for President.
In the video below, you will see how sincere Trey Gowdy really is, as he is fighting back tears, as he is admonishing the Inspector General of the I.R.S. for the reckless spending their officials engaged in. Government officials staying in $3.500.00 a night rooms in fancy hotels, obscene money spent for promotional materials, etc, etc.
In this video he explains how local law enforcement in South Carolina were furloughed due to lack of funds while the I.R.S. was throwing tax payers money around foolishly.
He also tells about one of his secretaries, who is a single mom, that was embarrassed to ask him for money to buy her daughter a birthday present, while our government officials were spending millions of dollars on some B.S. seminar they were giving.
I don't usually post or watch videos while I'm on Steemit, but this 5 1/2 minute video is definitely worth watching.
Please take a look at a man that, in my opinion, is sincere when he goes after corruption and wasteful spending.

I'll have to come back and listen to the video. I don't have my ear buds with me. I am not a huge fan of politicians - period. I believe many greenhorns go in sincerely wanting to change the world and make it a better place, but then something happens to them. They change. They get comfortable. They get bullied or have their pockets lined. I don't know enough about Trey Gowdy, but I will definitely do some reading about him. Maybe he's actually the real deal. :D
