Many Steemians are Americans.Some of which are offended by the periodic criticisms of the newly elected President.

But even the most hardened Trumpolian must now be feeling a deep sense of unease following the firing of FBI Director James Comey. No sane person believes the sacking is linked to Comey's handling of the Clinton investigation prior to the US presidential election.

Indeed Trump was a strong supporter of Comeys comments at the time. Comey has been sacked because his investigation into the links between Russia and the Trump campaign was getting close for comfort,and because Trump is insecurely pathetic who can not handle scrutiny.Hopefully the US system is not in deep trouble as President Trump is closing down anyone who could do something about it.

THE NIXON CASE

In October 1973, then President Nixon pressured the Attorney General Elliot Richardson and his Deputy to fire a special prosecutor Archibald Cox but they refused.Fast forward to the present day,President Trump fired the FBI Director on the advise of Attorney General and his Deputy.
