What I wonder is: does Guiado feel any concern about the possibility of the US deciding he would be more useful as a dead martyr than a live "interim president" in the goal of manufacturing public support?

He just want power. And yes, I think he might know that. That's why he has so many bodyguards, he knows that Maduro is not going to do anything threatening his life.
