But it’s also worth observing that without exception, every single Trump supporter I have ever encountered is a moron.
They’re often semi-literate.
They are proudly closed-minded.
They’re entirely unable to reason or think critically, or discern reality from fantasy.
And their entire worldview is the product of a level of gullibility I’ve never encountered anywhere else.
As for libertarians..
As far as I can determine, the “libertarian” platform is to replace democracy with feudalism. This is why “libertarians” thoroughly rejected Bill Weld, and embrace Ron Paul, Murray Rothbard, HH Hoppe, and LPMC.
I don’t just mean in the ancap camp of instituting limitless “property rights” for landholders over a permanent class of serfs, but also in adopting a Dark Ages “moral code,” rejecting science and data, wishing to revert to herbalism over medicine, and promoting conspiracy theorism on the same level as geocentrism. In fact, representing a wildly disproportionate number of literal geocentrists and flat earthers.
If you consider the right to be promoters of “financial freedom,” we can chalk that up to the absolute disregard “libertarians” have for economic freedom, which they seem to identify solely as forcing social media firms to platform and serve the far-right, while not forcing firms to serve POC or GSM. Although I guess they do also favor special tax treatment and subsidies for favored groups.
