Capitalism, Decentralization and Communism

This is a really interesting concept. Here's my takeaway, please feel free to clarify if I'm wrong:

In a future where more and more of our universe (finance, information, entertainment, consumption, etc.) is decentralized, crony capitalism and general politics-as-usual will have no choice but to assume a new face.

My question: What do you think the new face of politics could/might look like? How might that be better or worse?

THANKS!
