"We have seen the alleged Russian influence on the US and French elections, so it is not to be ruled out that there are also elections in Germany." German Interior Minister Thomas De Maiziere said, while presenting the report on internal services with President Hans Georg Maassen to the press. De Maiziere spoke of possible "cyber-attacks" and of a "classic misinformation campaign" as more concrete risks. "Lies for some people are part of the policy," he added, "but they have short legs," and if fake-news is released, "we need to react quickly."

De Maiziere is recruited from a think tank and his cousin was a prime ministre in the DDR. This guy popped out of nowhere and I really do not like his guts.

Suits him to spout such nonsense.

Did not know about this,Lately it is fashionable to accuse the Russians.
