In Norway we used to strive for a happy de-centralized society, and it was always possible to live well from natural resources, working only for yourself.
When Neoliberalism set in our society changed. Instead of striving for a million happy little societies on every island and in every fjord, now everything has to be profitable, and to not be a drag on our society we all have to move into the big cities and work for someone else.
At this rate we will all soon live like cogs in a huge capitalistic profit making machine instead of like human beings.
Oh you can still choose to live de-centralized, but you will have to make due with less and less functional infrastructure like roads, sewage, schools..etc.
And you can no longer live off natural resources because it has all been modernized (sold to big private interests).

Technocrats like Peter Joseph are no different to the neoliberals, or any other ideologues that are trying to control humanity.
