Who governs us?

At present, we tend to believe that since we live in democracy we can choose who governs on our head, this is false. Anyone who has had the slightest power over other people will know first hand that the one who governs will never give power to those below, but will seek to avoid them and keep the greatest possible share of power for him.

Power, by nature, is organized in a pyramidal structure, so that at the top of the pyramid there can only be one person who governs and is seconded by a growing group of people. If in any country, they have a government made up of two or more leaders who have the same power, neither of these two subjects is the man who actually governs, since the pyramids only have one head, there is a man behind the curtain that governs about these subjects.

In the past it was much easier to see who governed us, we could raise our heads and look for the answer in the crown, which posed on the one who was the leader and ruled over all of us. But at present it is not so, both the king and the aristocracy remain hidden, and are almost impossible to see if we are not looking for them.

At present, as has happened throughout history, there is an elite that is in the main important positions of society, be it in science, in art, in government, in economics, and even in culture. It is not that these men are the most capable, or are enlightened, but that they belong to a select group of people who favor each other.

To prove my point we must travel a little to the past.

In the elites of the past we can see how George V of the United Kingdom was a cousin of Wilhelm II of Germany and also of Nicholas II of Russia. This monarchical elite not only reduced these three powers, Christian IX of Denmark was known as the father-in-law of Europe, his son Frederick was King of Denmark, his daughter Alexandra was queen consort of the United Kingdom, his son George was king of Greece, and his other daughter Dagmar was Empress consort of Russia. Similar cases are repeated again and again involving almost all the noble families and also, in turn, to almost all the countries of Europe.

As we saw there was an elite made up of the same men who ruled the main powers of the world at that time; Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, France, Spain, and stop counting, they had an elite that shared the same lineage, and nevertheless, wars and problems between countries did not stop at all, it would have been very easy for Jorge V mediate with his cousins of Germany and Russia and avoid the headache of the first world war (I do not want to be simplistic and I know that this would entail a little more than just that).

Since the fall of the Western Roman Empire, the barbarians came to rule most of Europe, establishing their monarchical system and being the dominant elite of medieval Europe. Only after the liberal revolutions of the eighteenth and nineteenth century the panorama began to change, and after the twentieth century this elite was buried only to be replaced by another.

Both today and yesterday, an elite rules over most of us, we choose presidents, prime ministers and rectors, we play democracy and paint the same color as a political party, but the reality is that we are playing with the cards that they handed out to us, at the table they placed, and also in their house.

Only when you have money can you notice how miserably poor you were before you owned it, the same goes for power.

I will not tell you that those who govern are Freemasons, Illuminati, Jews, Communists, Globalists, or any other secret sect that deliberately tries to keep us miserable, because it would be an unfounded argument. The reality is that someone with as little power as I cannot say for sure who governs, but i can from this position down here, notice that by the inertia of nature a relatively small group governs us today as has always happened.

You ask the question “who”, perhaps it should be “what”.

I put it to you that in the majority of cases we are governed by power and wealth, for if the individual or party that governs did not have both they would be unlikely to gain government.

The wealth and power are assisted by two constraints that are typical of those that are governed. Those two things are apathy and ignorance. This was articulated by Michael D Yates who said in “The Great Inequality”:

“…First, power allows a person unilaterally to change another's constraints, and it can, when exercised long enough, change the habits of subordinates so that the latter act automatically in the interests of their masters. Second, those with personal power will inevitably also have social power, and this will allow them to make the rules that all must obey, and these will benefit the powerful. These rules, in turn, may come to seem normal, which lowers any costs the powerful would have to incur to maintain their power. Third, wherever there is power, there can be no democracy, since if there where, such power would be abolished by majority rule…”

It is our collective ignorance and apathy that allow wealth and power to govern.

People invest so much in things that really don’t matter.

Strongly agree, the power currently lies quite in the money, you can notice it in every stratum of the current society, when everyone is able to do anything, even if they do not like it, just for money. Prostitutes are a living example of what I'm saying, would those women go to bed with anyone for free? no, but if they are willing to sell themselves for money, they do something that goes against themselves just because money matters more to them.

Those who have power do not play politics, they finance both sides and they put people to choose, left wing or right wing, same bird.

Vieira, money is the lubricant of power.

A disproportionate share of the money supply enables the wealthy to have a disproportionate share of the real resources that they do not produce.

The problem we have as a species is, the majority of us desire to be wealthy. We do not consider that disproportionate wealth can only be financed by someone else’s poverty.

The dominant neo-liberal politics of the planet of most franchises maintain unemployment and inequity and seeds ignorance and apathy, with myths that entrench austerity.

We need to see disproportionate wealth for what it is!

Freemasons, Illuminati, Jews, Communists, Globalists,

Interestingly, all these groups go hand in hand right?

Usually all those terms are synonymous.
