Honestly, part of me hopes that Oprah does run in 2020 and wins. Not to get rid of Trump, but because of what it would start, which is exactly what Seth here is afraid of. If Oprah beat Trump, the Republicans would almost certainly respond by finding another celebrity to run against her in 2024, setting in motion a new status quo where neither party thinks they can win unless they run a celebrity.
Think about all the career politicians, those lifetime leeches, suddenly finding themselves in a situation where they can never hold the highest office in the country specifically because they've been in politics too long. Imagine if Trump's lasting legacy was locking out people like Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders out of the White House permanently.
