According to Navarro, Trump - sensing electoral danger - decided to replace Jared Kushner with Steve Bannon as 2020 campaign manager.
The problem?
Trump doesn't have the cojones to confront and fire Kushner himself.
So, bizarrely, he asks Trump donor and Home Depot founder Bernie Marcus to fire Kushner on his behalf. Marcus reluctantly agrees.
Kushner naturally rebuffs Marcus. After all, Marcus isn't Trump: who is he to fire Kushner?
But even though Trump is the only one who can replace Kushner - and Kushner needs to be replaced - Trump can't do it. So, he keeps Kushner on as campaign manager, even as electoral trouble hangs in the air.
And then, some weeks later, Trump loses (whether legitimately or through chicanery), and is run out of town.
The new regime then begins to destroy him, his supporters, and their vision for America.
Maybe Trump did his level best, and certainly he has some skills...but team management isn't one of them.
To me, that seems like a dealbreaker, looking ahead.
