The House is still an open question.

What does the Senate control get us without the House majority?

Mostly judicial appointments, a not insignificant thing as we have seen in recent years. Trump significantly reshaped the federal judiciary.

Georgia is still very important though. Stuff is chaotic, so I think any buffer from just 50-50 helps. While Manchin and Sinema have confirmed judiciary appointments, who knows going forward. Plus we are probably going to have budget showdowns where they might be less reliable.

And who knows what will happen with the House at this point. Even if Dems lose control, that majority is going to be razor thin. It isn't unusual for the House to have vacancies during the cycle. Plus with the MAGA wing McCarthy is going to have a difficult speakership vote. There is a scenario where some sort of cross party coalition arises there making the House almost feel like a parliament.

Furthermore 2024 is a bad Senate map for Dems. They'll be defending Senate seats in Trumpy places. Good incumbents in those places, but still in this era of polarization incumbency is less reliable.
