In April and May the Pope will make Pastoral Visits in Italy

The Press Office of the Holy See has just announced that Pope Francis will make two more pastoral visits in Italy, still in the first half of 2018.

On April 20, the Pontiff will go to the region of Puglia, when he will visit the cities of Alessano, in the Diocese of Santa María de Leuca, and Molfetta, in the 25th anniversary of the death of Bishop Tonino Bello.

On May 10, Pope Francis will make another pastoral visit. This time he will visit Nomaldelfia, in Tuscany, where he will meet the community founded by Fr. Zeno Saltini; and also goes to Loppiano, in Florence, to visit the small city of the Focolare Movement.

Mons. Mario Meini, Bishop of Fiesole, and Maria Voce, President of the Focolare will welcome and welcome the Pope, in Loppiano.
The reaction of President Maria Voce, when she heard about the communiqué of the Holy See, was one of surprising and joyful.

Loppiano

Loppiano is the first of the cities of the Focolare. She emerged near Florence, in 1964, in the Tuscan hills.
It currently has about 850 inhabitants: men and women, families, youth and adolescents, priests and religious, from 65 countries on five continents.

More than half of its inhabitants reside there permanently and the others frequent one of the 12 international schools that foresee a period of 6 to 18 months.

The international and multicultural composition of its inhabitants, who live the law of mutual love, makes Loppiano a laboratory of coexistence between people of different ages, social conditions, tradition and culture.
