I took this photo in May this year.
When I looked at it I was struck by the frailty and beauty of this beautiful flower.
Beauty is always fleeting and delicate, I thought.
Probably I am wrong.
Then I thought about the poison/medicine
(depends on your perspective) it contains within its hold.
The ecstasy this bud holds within itself.
A drug that alleviates pain.
A poison that kills a man.
