Portfolio Update: week 19 2018

Week 18 already. Now the summer is approaching fast, time flies. Also we must remember that in general May and June are 2 great months for the cryptomarkets. Let's see what it did with my portfolio.

Overall

As you can see there is a nice and steadily improvement. As long as the chart goes up, it is fine with me.
The complete increase was organic. Besides the extra amount of Steem, no coins were purchased in the last week.

Newcomers and leavers

Yep, for the first time since long, you do see the term "leavers". @cicbar pointed out to me, that I had a to diversified portfolio, which makes it hard to keep track of all the news around the coins in my portfolio. And he is right, like he mostly is!
So I did some homework and decided that I will let go 3 of the coins in my portfolio.

Leaver

Zeepin was the first one to go. I was waiting on it to turn green in my portfolio and in the past week it did. I managed to get an whopping profit of 0,60 euro. :)
But there is more. When holding it, I was entitled for an airdrop of Gala. I still have these in my portfolio and will trade it when the time fits it!

In the next weeks I will also say goodbye to Reddcoin and Digibyte. I just have to wait until these write green figures. 25% of the selling price will be returned to fiat and extracted from the cryptoworld and the other 75% will be reinvested in the coins which will stay in my portfolio. Probably some Ethereum, Coss and maybe some other!

Steem

Just like all weeks, I could add some extra Steem to my portfolio. I have been able to add, 25 steem, which is just great! I still hope to become a minnow on the Steem blockchain before the year is over.

Winners and Losers

The biggest jump in value were for Elixir and SportyCo this week. Elixir, one of my hidden gems. But I still don't know if it will stay in the portfolio or not.
The increase of SportyCo did surprise me. Maybe I will have to strenghten my position into this. Or just sell it with a profit!

Coss was the biggest losers of the week. But don't worry, it has a small market and can swing back next week.

Shares

Last week the top 3 (including Steem) was:

  • NEO - 15,44%
  • KCS - 15,21%
  • Neblio - 14,02%
  • Steem - 10,5%

This week the top 3 (and Steem) looks like this:

  • KCS - 15,38%
  • Neo - 14,02%
  • Stratis - 13,54%
  • Steem - 10,9%

Steem is climbing the rankings. Which is always nice to see.
KCS and Neo keep on switching places, but the top is getting attacked by Stratis and Neblio. Very pleased with stratis because it is one of my biggest investments.
Elixir added a complete % to the its portfolio share!
Ethereum and Bitcoin are also increasing, which is always good to see!

Next week

As written above, I will keep an eye on the prices of Reddcoin and Digibyte to see if they write green.
I also don't expect to be able to add a lot of Steem to the portfolio.

How is your portfolio doing?
Also getting better and better?
Is there a coin which should be a must have for each portfolio and which I don't have?
Feel free to comment!

Keep the faith,
Peter

It was good advice from me to by COSS :-) now your worst 7 day performing Crypto :-) and KCS is Up :-)

No doubt about your advice. It will turn out a winner. I am not the one who does make conclusion after 1 or 2 weeks. If that would be the case then I would have left the crypto market 4 months ago! But hey I am still here and planning to stay some longer.
Any ideas about Nuls?

Interesting idea with modular structures. Problem is that there is too many platforms, not all will succeed...

Looks like it's going well ! 8-)

You should check out this guy, @bitbrain, he posts very similar stuff to you and probably have a lot in common. We hate each other (in a friendly way though) and have lots of good chats in the comments :-)

Thanks for pointing him out to me. I have added him to my follow list, we will work from there :)

He's a genuine guy, not shy about sharing his losses as well as wins, and admitting when he's wrong. We chat (argue) often :-)

I did notice it :)

I only invested in Bitcoin , ripple, Bitcoincash and Eos I just started steem not too long. But I don't look at my growth figures for these coins. Because am a long term investor and I want to hold these coin for the next two years then I will look at my return on investment and know how far I have gone.

I am also a hodler for sure for Neo, Eth and BTC.
I am a statistical guy, so I do enjoy creating such files and to keep track of my investments.

Steem is really great as a way to use part of the earnings to re-invest in other coins once you have reached your personal SP Target.

I have something over 25 different positions myself. The last one I started cost averaging is Wanchain. My biggest positions are EOS | Bitcoin | NEO & STEEM right now which account for ~60%+ of my portfolio.

I have been cost averaging since Feb. Each mount a certain % of the salary is invested!
I missed the Eos train 😔 but we can’t buy all the coins which look interesting.
I do have high hopes for Neo!
Only 10 but better than none, I guess!

I got into Neo back in the day when it was still called antshares. Getting the gas is really nice and being able to get some passive income from coins overall has always been one of the things I have looked at.

You have 319 BTC!??

I wish I had. But no. The 319 refers to the value in Euro, not the number of coins I have :(

AHh well that’s still very nice portfolio! Good to keep it split between some coins. I I wish I got in to EOS at 2$ when I read about it for the first time on Steemit! Luckily got in at 8$! My 2018 hopeful prediction is to see DGB get to 20-30 cents

I hope it does for you because then I probably will have sold them already!

haha win win for both of us then! :)

This reminds me that I should start buying some crypto :-)

My portfolio:

CoinAmount
STEEM60
MANNA161
SWIFT5900
SCR6.381

Still time enough. Just make sure that tou investigate the coins that you want to buy and to set a max prize for which you do want to buy it. If above find another interesting coin!

I just noticed how well DigiByte was doing. If you take out the spike in December due to a misquote of John McAfee, it is doing great.

Maybe I should leave it in my portfolio then 🤔

Have you ever thought of staking some of your coins in staking pools?

Nope, never thought about it. I know that I can stake Neblio but I don't want to have a personal wallet on my laptop, which has to be connected all the time. The same goes for Reddcoin and so on!
Let me say that I am always scared to get scammed and maybe that's the biggest reason why I haven't done this!

That is a valid reason plus you would also have to pay transaction fees to cover it. From what i heard/read this pool https://stakeunited.com/ and this staking pool are popular https://btcpop.co/home.php

Thx for the link, I will check them out!

Steem is all I need! :D

Great post @fullcoverbetting, really net and tidy the way you keep track of your portfolio. We hope to see after the ICO some SMARC or LOGIC in there, will be an honor to be one of your investments.

0.004 SP curation reward ontvangen voor deze post. Dat verbaasde me toch enigzins.
