Harris has run a pretty great campaign in a short amount of time. But voters around the globe have been punishing incumbents for the post-pandemic economic recovery and inflation.
The US recovery has been significantly better than much of the world, but unfortunately voters' perception of that is still somewhat disjointed.
Consumer sentiment has recovered a lot in the last year and inflation has cooled. So we'll see how it goes.
The economy is by far the top issue for voters. And especially so among subgroups like Hispanic voters.
