Jesus and the kingdom: They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on. Mark 12:44

Jesus while he was with his disciples looked at every moment for the opportunity to teach the Kingdom of God. And it was when Jesus entered into the temple of Jerusalem that he found the opportunity to show how important it is to find that grace that is the gift of eternal life, when he compared the Kingdom of Heaven with the offering of a poor widow.
In the temple of Jerusalem everyone gave, as an offering to the treasury, what was left over to them, but a poor widow gave the most valuable thing she had in her poverty, that is how the kingdom of God should be for all who seek it. That is why Jesus, when he taught with his parables, compared the Kingdom of God with a pearl of great price and a hidden treasure.
The Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, is the most valuable and we must give everything to obtain it, this is the christian demand, which is summarized in a spiritual teaching: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" Matthew 5:48, and also: "Be merciful just as your Father is merciful" Luke 6:36. The mysteries of the universe, the mysteries of life and death are revealed to whoever enters this spiritual kingdom, because whoever enters the Kingdom perceives the universe with the mind of God.
With these wise words, Jesus spoke to the disciples about the offering of the widow:
"Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, ´Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on´" Mark 12:41-44.
