In Buddhism, the paramitas are considered the perfection of virtues such as helping others, giving, or purifying Karma. There are six basic paramitas, but they differ from other traditions of Buddhism like Theravada Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism, and so on. The Perfection of Wisdom is one of the six paramitas in Buddhism and is traditionally known as Prajna Paramita.
