How economies affected WW1?

World War 1 was one of the most important events in the history of mankind and even wars in general, because it was the first war where countries from different continents were involved.

The battlefield had become larger which meant the stakes were much higher and that meant death but what really made this war terrifying wasn’t what was already happening, it was what was going to happen after the war. The cause of the war was just some chain of events that led to such extreme measures but what influenced the war in the first place is no longer important, it was what kept it going for a span of 4 years.

This may seem like a short time but over that short time many political hierarchies and social hierarchies would change but it didn’t stop there. The economies of the countries were not in the best state which meant that it all came down to which country had the most money to hold their ground. This is why it made some countries seem weak due to the factors like low population, inferior military, inferior technology and the one I’m going to investigate, economy.
