1 Sam. 12:23
Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing eto pray for you, fand I will instruct you in the good and the right way.

One of the important part of Christian service is Prayer

Because it is a commandment of God.

Even in the old testament the prophets already gave importance to prayer. They have understood the need to do this act That not giving importance to prayer is a sin.

And believers that pray receive benefits when they abide in this commandment because if we abide in God's Words we are considered as a true disciple. Abiding in God's Word is doing and executing what are the commandments of God.

1 Thes. 5:17
"pray without ceasing,"

-If you do not Pray you will be a loser because we as Christians have a strong enemy. Likened to a lion.

1 Pet.5:8
"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

Pray if you want to succeed in life

Matthew 26:41
"Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Lk. 18:1
"And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart."

These verses clearly tells us that prayer supplies us with strength to face hindrances and challenges that may come our way. because it is not just physical strength that makes someone to succeed but also the right mindset in taking the journey.
In this aspect prayer can help us clear our mind because we have a God whom we can call for help and to whom we can show our vulnerability and weakness because it is also Him that promised us that he will be with us always.

Heb. 4:16
"Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

There is something good that will happen when you pray.as we pour our hearts when we come to his throne of grace that is the signal for God to begin his works and his moving in ways not known to us

King David in the book of Psalms 86:1 says " Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy." this words coming from a king shows that even the richest man is also in need not of material things but of spiritual things that brings peace and comfort in ones heart.
We may not be aware of it but even if we have all the things that we need we are still lacking of many more and the irony is that our possessions does not fill the gap no knowing that it is only God who can fill it through our constant communication.

So always remember to prayer to experience great things that God is reserving for you.
