Prepping 101: Survival Food - Calories Per Dollar - Auguson Bucket vs. Walmart

in prepping •  8 years ago

Did you already buy a ton of freeze dried survival food? Well there's no harm in that, but if you really take a look at what you get vs. what you pay, most likely you only got about 100-300 calories for every dollar you spent. Compare that to Walmart brand flour, at over 4,600 calories per dollar. A lot of my column on GunsAmerica is about the value of food and how to cook it. Check out this video of an Auguson "4 person 4 day supply" vs. the same $20 at Walmart. Also search for "calories per dollar" at http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog.
