After Intense self indoctrination from countless youtube video's predicting the end of the world and major global catastrophe I have succumbed to the life of a 'prepper' and have completed my 'Urban Evac' bug-out bag.
I would love to have a homestead in the countryside to weather the storms that are predicted in the coming years but I live in a big city and space is tight....I figured I would gather all the essential items needed for survival in a grid down situation evacuating a toxic and dangerous urban area.
Water filtration and more water filtration
The pack contains all the essentials and excels in solar energy, water filtration, pollution control and is suitably stealthy.
The solar backpack provides a large solar panel for energy and has a solo tent strapped to the base, there are no less than four water filter units as this is possibly the most important aspect of a survival bag.
Whisky!
There are two mini whisky 'barrels' incase the calamity is insurmountable and requires a final drink! The whisky also has medicinal purposes and can be an effective pain killer.
The SAS handbook is vital to anyone with little survival experience .
There is iodine incase of nuclear disaster and colloidal silver for antibacterial purposes.
No toothpaste!
One aspect I am particularly proud of is the stealthy money-belt for cash and gold!
A mobile smartphone is included, protected by a faraday bag to defend against EMP or solar rays.
There is a solar ion toothbrush from Japan that requires no toothpaste!
The handy solar charger also doubles as a powerful torch and should keep the 'hot-rock' hand warmer going in times of extreme cold.
The solar/wind-up radio is extremely small and effective.
The 'yoyo' fishing auto reel ensures fishing without skill or patience and heirloom seeds are essential for long term survival, they could provide vital crops in a permanent location.
Petroglyphs
The pollution mask is only designed for urban cyclists but I thought would suffice in a toxic environment and they are much smaller than a conventional gas-mask.
I also added a stone engraving pen to leave messages to future generations..
The rest of the items are what one would expect from a 'pro' survival bag minus one or two things I have not thought of.
I have a couple of wearable compact walkie talkies are on the way which will be great but possibly not 'essential'
All items fit in the bag comfortably and slightly more can be added if necessary.
Any suggestions are welcome.
