The Honourable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, addressing people at the event held to commemorate The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s milestone of serving 2 billion meals on 27 August, 2016. The President stated that the occasion was an opportunity to appreciate the significance and strength of a fresh and nutritious mid-day meal.
