Print3d - What to print

in print3d •  6 years ago

When you buy a 3D printer, there is a new world ahead of you. From now on you don't actually have to go to the shop to buy all those gadgets. You can just make them at home.

One of the best sources is thingiverse, you can browse through thousands of designs, which you download and then can print on your 3D printer with minimal of fuss.

You search for something that interest you, click on the item and voila

This is one of the most famous, it's an object to test your printer - the bathub boat.

Personally, I am more interested in wargame miniatures, and especially 28mm and 6mm

As you can see, there are quite a few readily available designs you can pick up. Also, I am mostly interested in 40k Wargames, so refine my search further:

You can see there is a many things I can print if interested. The good thing about this is also that these small objects doesn't take forever to print. The Oil Drum Barricades is made by "rbross" and most likely he has also made more of the same type, aka 28 mm objects.

For this particular print, you can also see that others have made this and you can check them out to see whether they actually turn out as "promised".

And by the way, check out some of "rbross" other designs

True enough, more cool designs for a wargamer.

My 3D printer is not going to sit in the corner and collect dust, that's for sure.
