The sigh

This is a part of the Mandy Marbles story where she escapes from prison and goes to Mexico. She ended up in prison after a bank decided she was a criminal and sent her to be put away for her own good...

An illogical murmur one step removed from genius was uttered by Mandy Marbles who was doing a ten stretch in the pen for shouting at a bank. The said illogical murmur was sent out in a postcard that travelled all around the world second class until it ran out of beans somewhere in India where a farmer found it and planted it in his field.
Three months later it had grown into an escape plan so the farmer sent it on its way with lots of good wishes and a peanut butter sandwich.
It got back into the prison disguised as a sigh that slipped under the door.
“Hello,” said Mandy Marbles to the escape plan lying on the floor. She picked it up and read it. After reading it she put it under her pillow and decided to sleep on it and put it into operation tomorrow. Then she went to sleep.

When the morning came, as all mornings come, bright and early, Mandy Marbles prepared herself for escape. Four thirty is the best time because everyone is sleeping and the guards are in their guard house snoozing before their watch changes.
Mandy took the escape plan from under her pillow and said: “Ok, time to go, go do your stuff.”
The escape plan turned into a sigh and unlocked the door and Mandy made her escape and was careful to lock all doors behind her so no one would know she was gone or how she had escaped.

The first car she found was opened and started by the sigh and she was off. Behind her, the prison slept on for three more hours and enabled her to drive 150 miles before her escape was discovered.
The next town she came to she hid the car well and took another one until she was back in her home town.
That night when everyone was asleep she used the sigh to get into the bank that had put her in prison and took a million dollars in cash from the vault without being seen by the cameras and then locked up behind her and drove to Mexico and the good life.

Whenever she needed money she could always go to the bank that put her in prison and take it from there and they would never know it was her and serve them right too. And she never had to worry ever about being held in prison again because the sigh would always get her out. So she lived happy ever after and was contented with her sigh.
