KNOWING AND DOING ARE VERY DIFFERENT...

in procrastinating •  7 years ago

In life we can be on of two kinds of people. The first kind is those who are boldly doing things. These people do not have to know too much. They just live through taking chances and are not scared to do things by trial and error.

Personally I have met people who achieve a lot this way and are not too smart. This is because they are putting physical energy towards something. They also do not stop until they get to their goal. The secret here is doing it quickly. How long you take to achieve anything will determine if you will reap the fruits during your life time or if your grandkids will or maybe not.
Then there are those who know everything in the book. They are can explain the ins and outs and consequences of a project. Sometimes they just won't take a chance and actually do anything. They are scared to fail, scared to get into a difficult situation and would rather be where they are. i am definitely more like the second type of person.

To be really great you have to stop procrastinating, get rid of fear of the unknown, embrace uncertainty and do things.
In short don't be scared to fail and make mistakes, that’s how you learn.
What you learn from books (theory) can never replace what you learn in practice. Most especially get over yourself.
